Book 1 presents the fundamentals of music notation, chord playing, and musical form.
Book 2 offers note reading, music theory and piano technique. It introduces concepts such as triad inversions, 3/8 and 6/8 time signatures, 16th-note rhythms, connected pedaling, and major and minor scales, plus a special focus on chord playing with lead sheets of familiar songs.
