Manufactured in the highly sought after ‘Golden Era’ for Yamaha, this piano was built in the original Yamaha Piano Factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. Following this period, Indonesia and China emerged as the next piano manufacturing economies causing Yamaha to switch to cheaper manufacturing processes at a new factory in Indonesia from the early 1990s and right up to today.
The U3F is widely considered to be one of the best Japanese made upright pianos ever manufactured by Yamaha. This model was designed to mimic a baby grand piano in an upright form. This model is comparable to a brand new YUS3 which now retails for in excess of $18,000 AUD making this particular piano an excellent option for the new piano buyer.
