~ Fully Refurbished Walnut Yamaha U1M Piano ~
 
This rare 1984 model Yamaha U1MS piano has just arrived in our Adelaide store, having been previously owned by a local family in Adelaide . It has now been fully refurbished and is ready for its new home! This beautiful piano is in beautiful condition like the day it left the Yamaha factory. 
 
Manufactured in 1984 during the the highly sought after ‘Golden Era’ for Yamaha, this classic model was built in the original Yamaha Piano Factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. Following this period, Indonesia and China emerged as the next piano manufacturing economies causing Yamaha to switch to cheaper manufacturing processes at a new factory in Indonesia from the early 1990s and right up to today.
 
The U1MS came out with upgraded hardwood cabinet, reinforced soundboard, upgraded action and easy glide rubber castors. This model stands at a professional height of 121cm, very few of these pianos were originally ordered in semi-gloss walnut with 99% being black making this piano quite unique. The new comparable model is the U1PEQ which now retails for in excess of $15,000 in walnut!
