This absolutely stunning Hamburg built Steinway & Sons, Model C-227 Semi-Concert Grand Piano is a true statement of class and sophistication from the post-romantic period and golden era for Steinway & Sons Pianos.
This beautiful fully restored vintage example from the highly sought after Victorian / post romantic period would make a stunning and unique feature piece in either a period style home, or conversely as a stunning feature piece in a modern home.
This 1 owner piano was acquired by us through Steinway Australia as a trade in for one of their brand new Steinway Grand Pianos. The piano was collected from a large private home in Sydney and transported to our piano restoration workshop in Adelaide last year for restoration.
The piano has since had a full restoration in our Adelaide workshop. The original ivory and ebony keyboard and mechanism were completely dismantled, every component removed, inspected and restored with necessary repairs required throughout.
The keyboard and mechanism were then reassembled, regulated, and the piano fine tuned to A440 concert pitch. This piano has a beautiful rich, warm amd deep tone typical of a Steinway & Sons C-227.
The beautiful and extremely rare African Rosewood cabinet has been fully restored and refinished in a modern high gloss polish with all brasswork removed and polished to a high shine.
Not only an amazing instrument, this piano is also a wise choice as an investment, with new Steinway & Sons Grand Pianos increasing in price every year, this rare vintage instrument will no doubt increase significantly in value over the years.
Note - We can also install our Bluetooth Sound System into this piano, allowing you to stream your favourite music to the piano and have it playing through the soundboard of the piano.
