~ Fully Refurbished Yamaha U2(PE) Piano ~
 
This extremely rare mid-century U2 piano has just arrived in our Adelaide store. It has now been fully refurbished and is ready for its new home! This beautiful piano is in beautiful condition, as a classic filled in leg mid-century cabinet. It has a lovely warm, deep tone as well as a light, even playing action perfectly suited to all levels of playing.
 
Manufactured during the the highly sought after ‘Golden Era’ for Yamaha, this classic model was built in the original Yamaha Piano Factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. Following this period, Indonesia and China emerged as the next piano manufacturing economies causing Yamaha to switch to cheaper manufacturing processes at a new factory in Indonesia from the early 1990s and right up to today.
 
The U2 stands at 127cm tall, very few of these pianos came to Australia with most piano retailers stocking the standard U1 and U3 models. A U2 from this era in this condition and price point is a rare find in Australia and would have been a custom ordered piano in its day.
