This absolutely stunning C.Bechstein ‘Concert 7’ Full Upright Piano has just been fully restored at our Adelaide piano workshop and store. It is now in the final stages of having its fine tuning, service and regulation in our main showroom in Adelaide.
The ‘Concert 7’ Full Upright Piano was an extremely luxurious and expensive pian o in its day, rarely seen in Australia - this is only the second one we have seen in the past 25 years. Standing at an imposing 134cm tall, a full 7cm taller than the famous C.Bechstein 'Concert 8' which is still being manufactured to this day. This stunning model was one of the world’s most prestigious and sought after premium upright vintage pianos and the direct rival at the time to the Steinway & Sons Model K.
It doesn't get any better than the story of this stunning 1 owner piano; having remained in the same family home in Adelaide since new, we have tuned and serviced the piano for over 20 years and when the owners decided to downsize we jumped at the chance to acquire and restore this absolute beauty. The piano comes with original brass candelabra, vintage piano bench, key cover and amazingly even the original fallboard locking key.
Since receiving the piano we have conducted a full restoration of the stunning exterior walnut cabinet, full rebuild of the original playing mechanism and full restoration of the original ivory and ebony keyboard. The piano looks absolutely beautiful, plays perfecty and is fully regulated and tuned to A440 concert pitch.
With a brand new C.Bechstein ‘Concert 8’ now costing in excess of $90,000 this classic vintage example is an amazing vintage alternative for the new piano buyer.
