Fully restored inside and completely repolished in a contemporary satin finish in our piano restoration workshop in Hobart by our family french polisher Matthew Leaver. This piano is a really unique find in Australia; a beautiful 1923 C.Bechstein ‘Concert 8’ Upright Piano. Manufactured from beautiful light European walnut this beautiful, classy piano would suit either a period style or modern home as a wonderful feature piece.
Standing at 128cm in height, the Concert 8 is, and always has been the pinnacle of C.Bechstein upright pianos and an original classic version like this is extremely hard to find. The Bechstein Concert 8 is still manufactured to this day and now has a full retail price of $89,995 making it one of the most prestigious upright pianos available.
Together with its beautiful walnut cabinetry, this piano is an absolute work of art. Fully restored inside and out, the piano features a full iron frame, overstrung scale and full underdamper playing mechanism. The piano plays perfectly, has a lovely warm and mellow tone and is fully tuned to A440 concert pitch.
